Introduction

Hi, I'm Dr. Martin Hengstermann, an engineer and luthier from Kahla, Germany. I am the inventor of these new electric guitars. You probably have some questions when you read the words "concrete guitar": Isn't it too heavy? Will it break if you drop it? Does it sound good? We want to give you the answers to these questions.

Concrete and carbon fibers...why?

Wood is a great material for instruments. But after years of research, we have found an even better material. Our lightweight concrete is reinforced with carbon fibres in two fibre directions (0°, 90°) and the material is also extremely homogeneous compared to 'grown' wood with only one skewed fibre direction. This, and the higher density of the concrete combined with the ultra-high stiffness of the carbon fibres, allows for the highest sustain and vibration. This is pure physics. You have to test it!
Each guitar body is meticulously hand-cast and unique in appearance, including an individual grain structure on the back. Your guitar is one of a kind.

Where are the guitars manufactured?

All guitars are assembled in Kahla, Germany. The body is also cast there. The pickguard is milled and printed in Germany. The necks are manufactured in Japan and purchased separately. The remaining components are purchased worldwide.
